HOW TO GET TO JYVÄSKYLÄ?

To travel to the conference, you must first fly to Helsinki and then continue by air, rail or road to Jyväskylä. Jyväskylä is situated about 270 km north of Helsinki.

The Jyväskylä (Tikkakoski) airport is situated 20 km north of the city. Airport taxi to Jyväskylä costs approximately 20 €. For more than one person, a regular taxi is recommended. Fare to Jyväskylä city centre about 30 €. The journey takes 15-20 min. There is a Taxi Hotline for calling a taxi at the airport. Advance booking from abroad: +358 100 6900.

railTo get from Helsinki airport to Helsinki Central Railway Station take the Finnair City Bus or local bus no. 615. Buses depart from the front of the Helsinki airport terminals, and journey takes about 35 minutes.

The closest train station from the Helsinki airport is the Tikkurila station. Tickets can be bought at the train station or in the train. In Jyväskylä train brings you to the Travel Centre which is close to the city center.

Bus – the journey by bus takes a bit longer than the train, but offers more views of the Finnish landscape. Buses depart from the front of the Helsinki Airport terminals. Tickets can be bought in the bus.

The conference venue is an international congress and fair centre Jyväskylä Paviljonki situated in the centre of Jyväskylä. All the conference hotels are within a walking distance to the conference venue and everything from museums to shops and nightclubs are close by as well.
